If I wanna share photos between friends from ab event or trip or something, I make a Google album. I just use Google drive, and upload every photo there. If you airdrop a lot, that will be annoying to adjust to. Pulse SMS is awesome for desktop texting. The integration between the two is never frustrating once you set it up right. The android Is more of an extension of me and customized to how I like to use my phone.

I wasn't a fan of apple forcing you to use certain technology i.e., faceID and getting rid of a fingerprint scanner. Android is superior in customization and first-to-consumer technology. I like to have a bit of both ecosystems in my world. I also have used Mac since elementary school and still do. I then hopped to Android and have never looked back. I was an iPhoner since the first iPhone until the iphone 7+.

With the m1 I can get most of my favourite iOS apps on the computer, plus have android specific stuff on my phone so it ends up being best of both worlds for me and iOS is just too closed down, so it's nice to have two fairly open OS to use. Beyond that, the other features I didn't really use. I still back up with iTunes photos and my Mac is my master photo library and anything on my phone just gets added once a month. When it breaks, which it does often, it's insanely annoying. That feature is great when it works, but as a decade long Mac user, I'm done with fighting that feature to work. For example, not having to use the music app aka iTunes to sync music to my phone is MUCH better. Syncing data between the two devices is often just a little more time consuming, sometimes better. It works well, but there's so many alternatives. The lack of iMessages is a bummer, but I've got used to it. I have an m1 MacBook Air and a Galaxy s20.
